Best Edition The Lazarus Files: A Cold Case Investigation with Free PDF EDITION!

While the case is fascinating the book is at least twice as long as it had to be, with page after page of minutiae that doesn’t seem to enhance the narrative one bit (e.g. the family Christmas gathering shortly before the murder). Most true crime books follow a pretty reader friendly format: character background, the investigation/arrest, the trial. This book is 500 pages of character background, 100 interesting pages of the investigation and arrest, and one sentence about the trial........really, one sentence. Read Mark Bowden’s excellent Vanity Fair article on-line, watch the various YouTube videos, and you’ll save 20 bucks and hours of time with your nose in a, sadly, disappointing book. Weak three stars.
